Hero Pt 2

This week Luke, my son who's 6, was a bit nervous about swimming at a different pool -- we were the away, visiting team. He would warm up, he was adament about NOT swimming, "So, let's go home dad..." BUt I persisted and told him we were staying so he could cheer his team on.

Plus I got up at 5:50 am to get him to the meet, so we were not going home early!

He had two events 25 yrd freestyle and backstroke (his favorite)...he did decide to particiapte in the abckstrike and earn another…

Talk about heroes!

My son began his first season on the FEC swim team. As a 6 and under, he swims in two events, mayb three: 25 yd free, 25 yd back and 100 team medley.

We had time trials two weeks ago (May 12-that morning they were in the pool at 6:30 and it is still cold here in the am!) and his times were OK: 25 yd free-41.67 and 25 yd back-59.86...pretty OK times.

Our first meet was last week (5/19) he did amazing, cutting his times to: 35.27 (-6.40) and 42.45 (-17.41)!!! AMAZING, he really cranked…

I'll get there eventually, but this weekend is a family birthday dinner for my girls, next weekend is our annual family ocean camp trip, and the week after we'll just be coming back from the mountains. I'll be thinking about you guys and will get there the first chance I get... promise. In the meantime, take care.

It has been kind of hot out here on the West Coast. Today is a little cooler though.

My work week was kind of slow for a change last week which was very nice.
